Karan Johar launched a very “isspeshal” band, named 6 pack Band 2.0. The band has 6 very unique and special members with great musical skills and wants to raise awareness about autism in their unique style! The band, 6-Pack Band 2.0, is the second segment of India's first transgender band, the Brooke Bond Red Label 6 Pack Band, which exploded on to the scene in 2016, winning millions of hearts across the globe.
They've come together to show the world that no disability can hold you back if given the right kind of love and support. The extensive research done by Karan on autism during the making of the film My Name Is Khan, he is deeply invested in the support of this cause.
The band’s first single, Jhakkad Pakkad Dance has released and it celebrates life in the most accepting yet carefree way. Karan has even voiced the prelude to the song!
Many of us still don’t know what autism is and why is it important for us to accept these special kids and adults not make them a social outcast.
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences. We now know that there is not one autism but many types, caused by different combinations of genetic and environmental influences. The term “spectrum” reflects the wide variation in challenges and strengths possessed by each person with autism.
Karan said, "It's so wonderful to see these young, super talented kids come together to create something so epic. I'm excited to be a part of something I know will not only change you and me but also has the power to change the world. I can't wait to see what these kids do next, they are here to conquer the world with their talent!"
