Fifa U-17 Grand Finals in Kolkata!

Saltlake Stadium has been a recent hotspot for raging roars as the boys have been playing exceptionally well in the grounds of Kolkata. The likes of Lionel Messi, Alessandro Del Piero, Oliver Kahn and countless others have graced the turf of this venue in the past.
“The City of Joy” has always been the epitome of crazy when it comes down to football.
Sporting an attendance of over 66,000, the final match between Brazil and England being held today at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan will be a view to behold.
Fifa President Gianni Infantino who arrived amidst tight security in Kolkata, has also been quoted saying that India is the “land of football”.
He will also be greeted by our Honourable Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee and will be served a variety of Bengali delicacies. CM Mamata Banerjee has also mentioned that she is ready to assign a plot of land for free if it is required to build a Football Centre.


Every official and representative will be flaunting attires designed exclusively by Agnimitra Paul.
We can also witness an impressive street artwork created by students of an art’s college which is 600 ft long and 120 ft wide, with various blocks of floral and geometrical designs in different colours.


Keeping in mind the football theme, the focal point of the biggest design will be a blue circle which is symbolic of a football; an actual ball will be placed later.
Gyanwant Singh, Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Commissionerate, said, "Massive security arrangements were made in and around the stadium. Special measures have been taken for the FIFA officials. We are fully prepared to provide our best service to the spectators and guests."


All the state intelligence agencies are working together to ensure proper security arrangements in and around the city.
